It is high time we recognize that disability is not inability. The society should deal with the preconceived ideas towards disabled people and provide them with equal opportunities. Discrimination towards the disabled has advanced to a point where labels are placed on them. This discrimination is not only shocking but also unacceptable.
Stereotypes, prejudices, and biases can lead to a wrong assessment of people and their character. These stereotypes have also led to the mass marginalization of disabled people in institutions and organizations, through procedures and policies.
