Introduction
Falls are considered a critical condition, which comes as a major problem not exclusive to older patients yet in addition to healthcare experts. The capstone project proposes an intervention into the ways of exploring how educational sessions regarding fall prevention helps mitigate the risk of falling among old patients. Falls are a serious risk to health wellness among adults since they cause decline in the adults’ ability of self-care and their possibility to take part in both physical and social exercises. Based on previously cited statistics, in 49,000,000 people who will have been victims of fall, around 12 million will have suffered fall injuries by 2030 in the United States alone. Notably, the nursing intervention that will be utilized, among the older adults, will be educational sessions to increase the knowledge of fall risk and consequently helps them in avoiding such circumstances.
