A Book report on Art and Geometry: A Study in Space Intuitions
Geometry comes from the greek word ‘geometria’ which means measurement of Earth or land. This definition from its etymology, one can outright deduce that it is basically the study of shapes but with the advances in the field of geometry, this definition is somewhat vague. Why? It is because now in the modern era, geometry does not only pertain to mere solid shapes and the measurements of angles like what the ancient greeks described but it now encompasses lots of things from non-Euclidean Geometries made by Gauss, Schweikart and Reimann to differential geometry and it compasses so much that line separating geometry and other fields of mathematics becomes blurry.
